António Vieira da Silva
Founder and managing partner of Business Setting and Magnify Equity & Operating Partners. In the past 15 years he has worked as an International consultant in Business Development and Business Recovery, and has accumulated experience in more than 30 countries. He is currently a guest lecturer at the ISCTE Business School on the “Masters in International Management”. With more than 25 years' experience, he has carried out the following duties, amongst others: Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Galp Energia; Business Turnaround Manager at Royal Dutch/Shell Group, with headquarters in The Hague, Board Member of Shell Portugal and Iberia; he has also been a member of the Board of Directors at many other companies.
João Caro de Sousa
With more than 30 years of professional experience, he has always been associated with providing services to companies and organisations. Over the past 20 years, he has devoted himself to the Cost Reduction Consulting field, representing and opening in Portugal the first foreign branch of the international company of reference in this field, “BCM – Business Cost Management”, which currently operates in 17 countries. Since then, he has worked in the Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement departments in medium and large businesses/organisations in Portugal and abroad.
With 20 years’ experience at the service of personal and company development, specialising in organisational development, team development and cultural change processes, including HR management systems. She has a doctorate in Organisational Sociology, more specifically in leadership and cultural change. She specialises in processes of transformation for leaders, organisations and society, based on U Theory, which is a method used to bring about organisational change. She is a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at the Universidade Nova in Lisbon. She is an ambassador of the Leadership Circle for Portugal, with the mission of developing more conscious leadership.

More than 30 years of professional experience, first in the areas of Commercial and Marketing Management and, in the last 20 years, as General Manager or CEO in the sectors of Information Technology (Microsoft, Compaq), Civil Construction (Soares da Costa, Grupo) sectors Tamega) and Energy (Self Energy), in which was involved in processes of business development, restructuring and financial recovery. Graduated in Mechanical Engineering at IST, has a postgraduate degree in Computer Integrated Production, having also completed the Senior Management Program for Companies at AESE.

After studying Economics, João essentially built his career in the financial sector. He worked at Millennium BCP for 5 years, in Consulting and Corporate Banking. Subsequently, he was director of Corporate Banking at ABN AMRO for 4 years, and Head of Private Banking (Geneva) for 6 years. Starting in 2004, he was the director of Alternative Value, executive director of Hedge Funds and executive director at Golden Hill-AG in Zurich for 4 years. Subsequently, he worked for Linx Asset Managers. He is currently a partner of Magnify, with responsibilities in the Property Investment and Wealth Management departments.
Having studied IT Management, he has more than 30 years' professional experience in IT departments, in team management and project implementation. Specialist in telecommunications (Portugal, Brazil and Morocco). More recently, he has been involved in developing dynamic digital platforms and in the development of mobility and geolocation projects in Portugal, Brazil and Switzerland. He is a founding partner of SysVision Internacional in Brazil, an operation that acts in the areas of Business Analytics, Strategic Services, Information Governance and Technical Services and Support.

Afonso Bragança Mendes
He has more than 30 years' experience and academic training in Business Management (Universidade Livre, Lisbon) and a Master's Degree in Property Finance (ISCTE, Lisbon). He started his career in the financial sector and later carried out executive management functions in different sectors of activity. More recently, he was involved in developing business projects and in management consulting activities, specifically cost-reduction projects.
He has more than 20 years' professional experience, carrying out general management and administration executive functions in financial service and consumer goods companies (food, hotel and restaurants, real estate and leisure sectors). He has lived in Brazil since 2011, and has taken part in many projects as a consultant along with foreign companies operating in different sectors (telecom, information technologies, real estate and financial services) with a view to analysing and developing opportunities in the Brazilian market. He collaborates as a mentor in business development, in start-up projects (early stage) connected with software development and social media. He has a degree in Hotel Management from Lisbon International University, a Master's degree in International Finance from the School of Economics at Porto University, and has completed a Senior Executive programme at the London Business School. He has been a Business Setting partner for Brazil since 2012.

Ana Luz Matos
Communication & Office Manager
Graduated in Graphic Design at IADE (1992-1996). Ana worked for 18 years as a designer and page designer in a large editorial group, where she coordinated several teams and gained extensive knowledge in these areas of design. More recently, Ana has acquired experience and developed skills both as a social network manager and in site maintenance and management.
Bernardo Caro de Sousa
He has an undergraduate degree in Management from European University, and has been a Cost Analyst at Business Setting since September 2019 in management, coordination and execution of consulting projects in the cost reduction.
